Google’s latest OS update that is Android L 5.0 will now run on mobiles, tablets and smartwatches too. This was announced in Google I/O 2014 developers conference around June. There are many rumors about the name of the OS that will be succeeding Kitkat version. Two names have been into news, one is Android 5.0 Lemon Meringue and other one is Android Lion under the collaboration of nestle. But still there is no confirmation yet.
It will be set to offer for smartphones and tablets before the end of 2014. It is expected that new HTC and Sony smartphones will be the first devices to get the new Android OS management. The L developer preview is accessible now for the developers.
Android L Features:
Android L is said to provide a good battery life as compared to Kitkat version. It will have a new updated version of Battery Saver Mode. New feature will be added that will tell that how much time the battery will take to get fully charged. So that sounds really interesting.
It will have a newly designed Lock Screen pattern that will be notifications enabled. The notifications features will be enhance and they will automatically ordered based on the priority. Navigations button will also have a new look. The new design language has been revealed named “Material” which will give a real new user experience. This will also help the developers to design apps in much depth giving a realistic and remarkable user experience.
It will have a newly redesigned Gmail that will be filled with new colour which will help it to appear more modernized. 3D multitasking will appear that will give a new experience to handle multiple tasks. It will have a support for 64 bit CPU so it will make the device work even faster than before.
The other amazing features that will be included are: Android TV, Android Auto, Bluetooth 4.1 supporting system and much more. We will discuss all these features in much more detail as we get some official news.
